Partnering Opportunities

The External Portfolio Management group is responsible for the selection and implementation of strategies managed by external partners, primarily medium-horizon, value-added active strategies. Their mandate includes, for example, hedge funds whose strategies employ publicly or OTC traded securities.

Characteristics of the ideal manager:

• Well articulated investment process
• Diversified sources of added value
• Expertise in global markets
• Excellent risk management practices and controls
• Operational capabilities with effective internal controls
• Scalability of the investment process and ability to manage large mandate
• Ability to efficiently translate investment insights into market positions
• Willingness to negotiate performance-based fee, and
• Ability to add value beyond the scope of a standard investor/client relationship.
