Through CPPIB Credit Investments Inc., the Private Debt Group is focused on making direct corporate investments in leveraged loans, high yield bonds, mezzanine and other debt solutions across the capital structure.

The group’s objective is to participate in unique event-driven opportunities, such as acquisitions, refinancing, restructurings, and recapitalizations. We will underwrite on a stand-alone basis or with select partners depending on the investment opportunity.

Our global mandate allows us to consider investments in multiple jurisdictions, with a primary focus on opportunities in North America and Europe. We have significant available capital with an initial target hold position between $50 million to $500 million in any single credit.

Our long-term investment horizon provides alignment with borrowers’ growth objectives and enables us to match maturities with underlying assets. Finally, we can leverage our institutional knowledge to quickly assess opportunities across multiple industry sectors.
