Since the CPP Investment Board began investing in private equity in 2001, we have committed approximately $35 billion to private equity fund investments, of which more than $26 billion has been invested to date. We currently have a private equity portfolio of 150 funds with 77 managers.

In addition, we continue to grow our principal investment portfolio and have completed over $7 billion in investments predominantly alongside our private equity fund managers.

All private equity investing activities are pursued through our Private Investments department.
